Sarner bowlers celebrate a derby victory to frame

Sarnthein, which recently got into a mini-crisis with just one win out of three games, showed a very strong team performance and swept away 3352 pieces of wood on the demanding course in the Sarn community center. The home team thus achieved a new season's best performance on their home track, with Hannes Kröss achieving the best individual result with 577 pins.

Leaders Neumarkt retained the upper hand against St. Georgen 6:2. The champions played against “Jergina” two weeks ago because Wolfi Blaas and Georg Righi took part in the individual World Championships in Leszno in Poland last week. Neumarkt's new signing Peter Bothazy was particularly able to play in the center with 631 pins.

After four defeats in a row, Passeier and Tirol Mutspitz celebrated their first wins of the season almost ten days ago. Both teams got a taste for it, as they improved on matchday six. Mutspitz put the Ratschings selection away with 6:2 in their place (3249:3180), while the Passeirians were also able to bring promoted Naturns to their knees at home with 6:2 (3325:3265). Josef Paler achieved the best individual performance for Tirol Mutspitz (580), while Hugo Ennemoser played strongly for Passeier (593).

In the end, Lana also had a hard-fought away win in Vöran. After the last throw played, the Etschtalers were 15 pins ahead (3201:3186). However, the best individual performance was achieved by a Vöraner, namely Werner Tammerle. For him the counter stopped at 576 pins. This means Lana stays in touch with the top three places in the table.

The game between Fugger Sterzing and Kurtatsch had to be postponed because Florian Thaler also took part in the individual World Championships in Leszno and was therefore not available to his team.

Women: Pfeffersberg provides the big surprise of the round For women, there is a surprise every week in the top league. This time the “sensation” goes to Pfeffersberg. The club from Feldthurns was able to put league leaders Los Birillos in their place 5-1 - and of all places in the “Klostersepp”, where the Klausnerinnen play their home games. Sara Larcher particularly stood out with 557 pins.

Los Birillos remain leaders because Villnöß still has to play its match against Meran. The game was postponed due to Simone Profanter's successful participation in the World Cup (she won bronze in the sprint), as were the matches between Selection Ratschings and Tirol Mutspitz (Adele Ainhauser was missing) and Burggräfler and Fugger Sterzing (due to Marion Thaler's absence).

The game was played in Tramin, where the Unterlanders had to admit defeat to Plose with 1:5, and in Deutschnofen, where the hosts narrowly had the upper hand against Pfalzen (4:2/2078:2063).
