South Tyrol's bowlers are in record spirit

Two of the new best performances came in the game between Burggräfler and Neumarkt, which the champions from South Tyrol won 8-0 away. First of all, Tamás Kiss (pictured) shone across the board. The world record holder from Hungary, in the service of the Unterlandlers, brought down a whopping 695 pins on the bowling alleys in the fire hall. His 426 completes and 269 clearances not only meant a new individual track record, but also a new season's best. Together with his teammates, Kiss also set a new team track record of 3667 woods. In addition to Kiss, Robert Ernyesi (602), Wolfi Blaas (622), Georg Righi (561), Armin Egger (585) and Florian Thaler (601) were also involved.

During the fifth lap there was a duel between Fugger Vipiteno and Passeier. The Wipptalers retained the upper hand with 5:3 (3461:3346). Vipiteno's captain Reinhard Gruber was unstoppable in this game with 633 woods. There was also a 5:3 home win with 3312:3231 bowling for the Ratschings selection, which hosted Sarnthein. “Landlord” Peter Volgger put his stamp on the game with 610 pins.

The second win of the season came from newly promoted Algund, who brought Jenesien to its knees 7-1 (3266:3119). In this game, Christian Mair was in top form, knocking down 623 pins for the Burggräfler. Naturns was successful away from home, winning 6-2 against second promoted team Montan. However, the victory was very narrow with 3146:3141 bowling. Christian Mocanu (Naturns) achieved the best performance of the day with 558 pins.

Women: Fugger Vipiteno shines in Kiens A new team track record was achieved by women's champion and cup winner Fugger Sterzing. The quartet hit 5 pieces in the 1-2084 away win in Kiens. Marion Thaler (520), Silena Hochrainer (483), Enikö Tòt (541) and Sabrina Parigger (540) were in action.

On the fifth matchday, the Ratschings team defeated Vöran Blecherne 5-1 away. After the last ball played, the score was also 5:1 in the Eisacktal derby between Plose and Los Birillos. Villnöß also retained the upper hand against Schlanders with 5:1. And Passeier celebrated a 6-0 win in the derby with Meran.

The best individual performance in the individual games this week was achieved by Christine Innerhofer (Vöran/544), Petra Stockner (Plose/583), Nathalie Profanter (Villnöß/566) and Berta Mairginter (Passeier/543).
