Two teams demonstrate nerves of steel

This was due, among other things, to the fact that two players won the point for the home team thanks to the better set ratio and with fewer pins. Erwin Volgger from the Ratschings selection was unable to score points as the best of the day with 593 blades. The match between Sarnthein and newly promoted Algund was also on a knife's edge, with the experienced home team winning 600:5 (3:3433) on the home straight and thanks to a brilliant performance by Seppo Obkircher (3423 pins).

The three top teams of the past season left nothing to be desired: Masters Neumarkt celebrated an unchallenged 8-0 home win against St. Georgen (3595:3393), which was left by the exceptional player Tamas Kiss (638). Vice-champion Fugger Sterzing defeated Naturns 7:1 (3434:3245), with Sterzing's captain Reinhard Gruber having 603 woods. Passeier, who came third last year, put Tirol Mutspitz in their place away with 6:2 (3182:3053). Oswald Kofler (Passeier) achieved the highest number of wood here, with a yield of 562. Jenesien also wrote in, which lost 3:5 in the catch-up game against Tirol Mutspitz, but showed no mercy to promoted Montan and prevailed 6:2 (3402:3328). In the lower classes, Kurtatsch's Tobias Gruber exceeded the 5-pin mark in the 3-600 home win against Tirol Mutspitz II with 604 woods (A2 West). On the other hand, Partschin's youngster Dominikrechner achieved a new personal record, hitting 592 pins against Burggräfler III (C West). After strong performances in recent weeks, the young talent was invited to the U18 team's screening training.

Women from Funes don't say a single sentence The Villnöß bowlers achieved a unique feat in their 6-0 away win against Passeier. The quartet won all 16 direct duels and thus all sets. Defending champion Fugger Sterzing also won the duel against Plose with a score of 6-0. There were also home wins on the second matchday for Ratschings (5-1 against Kiens) and Tirol Mutspitz, which defeated arch-rivals Los Birillos 4-2. Vöran Blecherne was able to celebrate away, winning 4-2 against Schlanders. The points were shared between Meran and Pfeffersberg.
