Eight youth Italian champions in Arco

Climbing took place in three disciplines, lead, boulder and speed. The overall ranking was also awarded. Filip Schenk (AVS Brixen) from Val Gardena was the most successful athlete. He won a total of three titles in the U18 category. Lisa Moser (AVS Meran) and Juri Unterkofler (AVS Brixen) won two titles. Elisabeth Lardschneider (AVS Val Gardena) became Italian champion in lead climbing. In addition, the AVS Meran team won the team championship ahead of AVS Brixen.

Filip Schenk (AVS Brixen) won the bouldering and lead climbing disciplines and was therefore able to clearly win the overall ranking. His performance once again underlined his versatile climbing talent. Lisa Moser from Merano and Juri Unterkofler from Brixen won two gold medals. He amazed the professional audience when he was the only one to manage a difficult boulder that none of his competitors could climb. With two good placings in the other disciplines, he deservedly won the overall ranking.

Lisa Moser was able to top in the last few seconds, which earned her the Boudern title and the overall ranking.

Elisabeth Lardschneider from Val Gardena won the lead competition and came third overall. Elias Sanin (AVS Meran) showed great performances. He came second in bouldering and came third overall. David Oberprantacher (AVS Meran) impressed in the lead competition, where he climbed to second place; He came third overall. David Piccolruaz (AVS Meran) came third in bouldering and with two fourth places in the speed and lead disciplines he was able to maintain second place in the overall ranking. Jana Messner (AVS Brixen) climbed to second place on the podium in the lead competition.

A total of eight Italian championship titles and 17 medals contributed to the more than positive results at the Italian Youth Championships from a South Tyrolean perspective.

Eight youth Italian champions in Arco

The Italian championships in the age groups from 14 to 19 years took place in Arco on the Pentecost weekend. The South Tyrolean state squad athletes impressed at all levels.
