Schenk wins the European Cup in Brunico

Filip Schenk, who is preparing for the Youth World Championships and the Youth Olympic Games, was once again able to demonstrate his talent. In the U20 final, the athlete from AVS Brixen climbed the extremely difficult route to a hold below the top. No athlete made it to the top of the difficult hold sequence. Passeier David Oberprantacher (AVS Meran) showed a dream performance in the final. He was the first athlete to reach the final sequence and remained in the lead until his teammate Schenk climbed over the height. He took the win and Oberprantacher came third.

Only the Austrian Mathias Posch placed between the South Tyrolean double victory. Like Oberprantacher, he came in the same place, but placed second due to the better qualifying result.

The Youth European Cup will now remain in the region. The Speed Youth European Cup will take place on June 23rd in the climbing park in Mezzolombardo.

Schenk wins the European Cup in Brunico

Europe's best young climbers took part in the third Youth European Cup Lead 2018 at the climbing center in Bruneck at the weekend. There was an outstanding result from a South Tyrolean perspective.
