Exciting Juniocup stage in Jenesien

For the athletes in the oldest categories, Jenesien was the penultimate competition. What should be highlighted here is the performance of Nora Rainer (AVS Bozen) in the U16 girls, who was able to climb all three tops in the final. She won ahead of Jana Sanin from Meran and Amelie Resch from AVS Brixen. In the boys' category, Felix Kiem won ahead of Lukas Amplatz (both AVS Meran) and Christian Dorigatti from Trentino.

It was exciting in the U18 boys, where Juri Unterkofler took victory with two tops in the first attempt ahead of Titus Prinoth from Val Gardena. Alexander Larcher from Trento came third. Valentina Platzer (AVS Meran) won the U18 girls ahead of Ylenia Bettega from Primiero and Alessandra Zanetti (Arcoclimbing).

Marion Künig was the only one able to climb a top among the oldest girls (U20) and thus won clearly. In the men's category, Daniel Bertagnolli from Bozen won ahead of David Spath (AVS Meran) and Francesco Profico (GAS Cai Bozen). The last Junior Cup competition for the U16 to U20 categories will take place in Campitello in the Fassa Valley at the lead competition on May 17th.

This is how the very youngest climbed

The Junior Cup in Jenesien was the last competition of the season for 7 to 13 year olds. The overall winners were also awarded and the participants in the Italian Championships in Arco were determined.

In the smallest girls there was a clear victory for Francesca Matuella from Team Arcoclimbing. With her third victory she also clearly took the overall ranking. The strong Vanessa Kofler from AVS Passeier came second in the competition ahead of her teammate Leonie Hofer, who came second in the overall ranking ahead of Viktoria Psenner from St. Pauls. Felix Platzer from Meran was the only one who managed all 14 top handles. He won ahead of his teammate Raphael Huber and Fabian Leitner (AVS Brixen). In the overall ranking, the first two places remained the same; Third place went to Oliver Root (AVS Brixen).

For the U12 boys, Hannes Grasl (AVS Passeier) won the competition in Jenesien and also clearly won the overall ranking. Jonathan Gamper (AVS Meran) came second in both classifications. Paul Mutschlechner (AVS Brixen) achieved third place in Jenesien. Jonathan Pallhuber (AVS Bruneck) took third place in the overall ranking.

Lisa Moser from AVS Meran showed very good performances in the U14 girls, who was the only one to achieve two tops in Jenesien, won and also clearly won the overall ranking. Elisabeth Lardschneider from Val Gardena is behind her in both rankings. Maria Hofer from Passeier came third in Jenesien, while Mara Plaikner from Brixen secured third place in the overall ranking.

There was an unbroken series for the U14 boys this season: Elias Sanin from AVS Meran took six wins in six competitions. He is therefore the confident winner in all rankings. He is followed by his teammate Jonathan Kiem, who came second both in San Genesio and in the overall standings. Johannes Egger from Bruneck secured third place in Jenesien. Jan Schenk (AVS Meran) took third place in the overall ranking.
