U14 Italian Championships: Victories for South Tyrolean sport climbers

Bettina Dorfmann (AVS Brixen) and Maximilian Hofer (AVS Gröden) won the overall ranking. The nine-year-old Bettina Dorfmann from Brixen won the individual bouldering and speed competitions. She came fourth in the preliminary competition. These good results were completely enough to win the overall ranking. Maximilian Hofer from Val Gardena did a similar thing with the 10-11 year olds. He won the bouldering competition; in the lead he was fifth and speed eleventh. So he took victory in the overall ranking.

The athletes from Bruneck, Evi Niederwolfsgruber and Jonathan Pallhuber, were able to score highly in the advance competition. They both clearly won the lead competition. David Grasl (AVS Passeier) took another individual victory in speed climbing. His teammate Leonie Hofer won three bronze medals in the U12F category. She came third in the boulder and lead competitions; These results also brought her a good third place in the overall ranking.

Vanessa Kofler (AVS Passeier) came second in the lead competition, behind top favorite Francesca Matuella (Arcoclimbing). Oliver Root from Brixen also won the silver medal in the lead competition in the U12M category.

U14 Italian Championships: Victories for South Tyrolean sport climbers

At the weekend the Italian championships for 8-13 year old climbing athletes from all over Italy took place in Arco. In total there were fourteen podium places and eight of them victories for the South Tyrolean climbing kids.
