Algund - Vellau: Hanns Rungger wins just ahead of Gerd Frick

At the start of the South Tyrolean running season, 167 runners set a record number of participants in the winter run from Algund to Vellau over 7 km and 550 meters in altitude. In the strong men's race, Hannes Rungger narrowly won ahead of Gerd Frick. Edeltraud Thaler was the fastest among the women.
