On Friday, the 11th edition of the Fit for Business company run in Neumarkt

This year more than 500 runners have already registered. The largest group is the Südtiroler Volksbank with 24 athletes. An hour before the start of the race, the “Fitness Show from Unterland Fitness” takes place on the village square in Neumarkt. After the race there will be the traditional pasta party from Eggerhof Aldein with DJ Anton and the award ceremony will take place at 21 p.m.

In addition to some top athletes, a lot of amateur runners registered. Political celebrities are also represented with the mayors Horst Pichler (Neumarkt) and Ulrich Veith (Mals) as well as the former EU parliamentarian Michl Ebner. There is also WoBi President Konrad Pfitscher. At the company run, fun and enjoyment of movement and running are the top priority; only then do the sporting results come. All participants have to complete a 2,6 km circuit in the village center of Neumarkt twice.

The women's course record is held by Helga Rauch from the Rauchhütte Seiser Alm, who needed a total of 2002 minutes for the 17.20 km route in 5,2. Among the men, Edi Lahner from Sterzing from Leitner Ag was the fastest ten years ago in 15.13 minutes. Helga Rauch and her twin sister Christa also hold the best performances in the teams of two. The Rauchhütte Seiser Alm completed the route in 2 minutes in 2007, while for men the Gartner Sports duo Roland Weissteiner and Migidio Bourifa set the record time of 36.53 minutes in 2009. In the mixed category, Barbara Egger and Egon Kargruber (Milkon Bozen) achieved the best time in 32.31 in 2006 minutes.
