Arge Alp: South Tyrolean selection on the podium in Bregenz

The South Tyrolean state selection celebrated nine daily victories and was only beaten by the strong Bayern and St. Gallen in the team rankings.

This year South Tyrol again traveled to Austria with a very young team. In Vorarlberg, the local athletes showed an extremely strong performance, especially with the outstanding Petra Nardelli in the 200m and 400m. The 22-year-old from Eggen, who came from Stuttgart especially for the meeting, won the 200m in a good 24.06 seconds and the 400 m in 53.69 seconds. Brayan Lopez from the Bolzano club Athletic Club 96 also achieved the men's double, winning the 200m in 21.89 seconds and the 400m in 47.45 seconds.

The relay teams were also convincing, winning three gold medals: the women's 4x100 m (Petra Nardelli, Isabel Eccli, Diana Caravaggi Esposito, Ira Harrasser), the women's 4x400 m (Francesca Cavalli, Valentina Cavalleri, Isabel Vikoler, Caren Agreiter) and the 4x100 m of men (Mirko Lepir, Kevin Giacomelli, Alexander Demetz, Brayan Lopez).

The two women from Bruneck, Ira Harrasser and Caren Agreiter, also celebrated two victories. The 17-year-old Harasser won the 100 m in 12.15 seconds and came second in the 200 m (24.59 seconds). Agreiter, however, won the 800m in 2.16,39:5000 minutes. It was her debut on this route. Markus Ploner also climbed onto the podium in second place over 15.01,03 m (XNUMX:XNUMX minutes).
