Athletic Club Bozen excels at the Regional MS in Rovereto

Manfred Menz from Meran won the pole vault with 4,60 m. The regional champion in the discus was Daniel Compagno, 24, from Bolzano with 54.46 m. Hannes Kirchler, who competes for the Carabinieri sports group, also took part in this competition out of competition. The 36-year-old from Merano stayed over 60 meters again and managed a good 61.58 m. Isalbet Juarez won the 400 m in 47.71 seconds and Fabio Buscella won the triple jump with 14.77 m.

Andreas Zagler ahead of Hubert Göller The best event in Rovereto was javelin throwing. The title went to Italian champion Norbert Bonvecchio with 77.73m. 19-year-old Andreas Zagler from the Bozen Running Club came third with 60,97m and won the generational battle against Hubert Goller (60.50m). Zagler improved his previous record by 22 cm. In the 100m sprint, Davide Demichei from Trentino won in 10.73 seconds ahead of two people from Brixen, Matteo Didioni (11.00) and the 17-year-old Mario Buniolo (11.10). A week ago in Milan, Buniolo stayed under 10.98 seconds for the first time in 11 seconds. There were also second places for Franziska Kofler from Lana in the long jump (1.63 m), Alberta Albertoni in the 100m hurdles (14.64), Monica Lazzara in the 400m (58.46) and the 4x100m relay of the Athletic Club Bozen 96 (43.56 seconds).

Athletic Club Bozen excels at the Regional MS in Rovereto

The regional athletics championships began in Rovereto on Friday. The second day of competition takes place on Saturday from 16.30 p.m. in Lana. On the opening day, the Bolzano club Athletic Club 96 celebrated four titles with Manfred Menz, Daniel Compagno, Isalbet Juarez and Fabio Buscella.
