Baggia cannot be beaten at the Agefactor Run

Although there was no sunshine this year, the conditions for the around 250 athletes couldn't have been better with temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius and cloudy skies - but no precipitation. The starting signal was fired at 15 p.m. sharp. The athletes then had to tackle the flat 10-kilometer course from Branzoll via Pfatten and Leifers back to Branzoll as quickly as possible. Hermann Achmüller achieved this best. The Palatinate running legend, who had a very strong season this year, reached the finish after 32.30 minutes. “The good results don’t come by chance. “I really trained a lot this year and I feel fit,” said Achmüller.

However, the top performance for the 48-year-old from Pusteria in Branzoll was still not enough to win. Achmüller's final time was multiplied by the so-called age factor and was therefore 29.22 minutes, even better than his actual time. But in the end it was “only” the third best mark of the day. As in 2017 and 2018, the victory went to Bruno Baggia, 85 years old from Cles. He had an Agefactor time of 27.29 minutes. Baggia effectively covered the 10-kilometer distance in 50.53 minutes. This meant he was almost a minute and a half faster than last year. Luciano Moser took second place with an Agefactor time of 28.51 minutes. The 66-year-old from Trentino ran the 10 km in 37.28. The overall World Cup winner in skirolling mingled with local hero Matteo Tanel among the participants (35.43 minutes net time).

Andersag finished 8th with the fastest time Angelica Huber, on the other hand, is the winner of this year's Agefactor Run for women. The 58-year-old from Meran had a time of 35.31 minutes based on her age, having covered the distance in 42.51 minutes. With her, Rosa Pattis from Siusi and Paola Accalai from Trentino made it to the podium.

The fastest driver of the day had to settle for 8th place. But Natalie Andersag from Kardaun should be able to get over that. The 27-year-old, who won the Soltn mountain half marathon a month ago, completed the 10 kilometers in 37.59,4:XNUMX minutes.
