Boudalia and Pircher win the 16th Soltn mountain half marathon

Boudalia repeated his victory last year in the men's field. On a slightly modified course, the Italian-Moroccan won in 1:16.31 hours and relegated the two-time Soltn winner Gerd Frick to second place. The native of Meran was 38 seconds behind Boudalia at the finish. Gianmarco Bazzoni completed the podium, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:19.22 hours.

The women's category turned out to be a clear affair. Petra Pircher from Vinschger, who was second last year, ran a confident race and triumphed in 1:32.53 hours, clearly ahead of Edeltraud Thaler. In second place, Thaler reached the finish line at the racecourse in Jenesien almost three and a half minutes late. Pircher's teammate from the Rennerclub Vinschgau, Verena Pratzner, came third. She finished the race in 1:37.28 hours.

Boudalia and Pircher win the 16th Soltn mountain half marathon

On Sunday the traditional Soln mountain half marathon in Jenesien was on the program for the 16th time. The race, in which over 240 athletes took part, ended with victories for Said Boudalia and Petra Pircher.
