Bolzano winners want to do well in Rio over 10.000 m

Netasnet Gudeta (winner women) I wanted to run at a high pace from the start to tear the flu apart. I also wanted to thank you for the invitation to this fantastic race with a good performance. My marathon debut still has to wait. What's more important to me this year is to qualify for the Olympics in the 10.000 m and do well in Rio Elinor Kirk (4th place, women) I never thought I would do so well here. The high rhythm of the African women at the beginning gave me trouble, but then I found a really good rhythm myself. It was the first time I ran in front of so many people. That was a very special experience. Nice to run in Italy again. The last time was a long time ago. That was during youth mountain runs in Piedmont. Margherita Magnani (5th place, women): I'm happy with my performance, it was my first race after winter preparation. If I had been more determined on the last lap I might have been able to catch up with the Englishwoman, but I'm still happy. For me, the Edinburgh Cross follows before the indoor season begins. Silvia Weissteiner (9th place, women) I am satisfied with my performance. Although I haven't reached my best yet, I was able to keep up today. Now I want to concentrate on the marathon distance Tamirat Tola (winner men): My form today was like it was at my best. The winning time is the best proof of this. I was sure of myself and didn't worry about the opponents. I want to run a marathon in the spring and then aim to qualify for the 10.000m run at the Olympic Games in Rio. Muktar Edris (2nd place men) I am absolutely satisfied with my performance. I never thought I would be able to run so well after my injury. This performance gives me a boost for the next races. My focus for 2016 is on the track races. Zane Robertson (5th place, men): When Tola increased the pace, I could no longer keep up because my form this year is not the same as last year. I should reach my best form at the New York Half Marathon in March. Running in Bolzano for the second time gave me great emotions. I enjoyed the audience's encouraging applause. Yemane Crippa (12th place, men) What a great race! I'm happy with my performance, even if I felt a bit tired after the European Cross Country Championships. My biggest thanks go to the audience, who helped me get the most out of myself, especially in difficult moments. Markus Ploner (17th place, men) The race was top-class and the scenery was once again unique. I'm happy with my run Peter Lanziner (24th place, men) The Africans set a hell of a pace from the start today. It wasn't my day, especially the last three laps I had very heavy legs, but I wanted to finish the race in front of this audience.
