Caren Agreiter under the 59 second mark for the first time

Caren Agreiter in particular came up trumps. The 400 m hurdles specialist won in a strong 58.70 seconds and stayed under the 59 second mark for the first time in her career. The 20-year-old from Bruneck clearly won ahead of Isabel Vikoler and improved her personal best by 45 hundredths. Only the European Championship fourth-placed Ayomide Folorunso (56.73), Ilaria Vitale (57.06) and Rebecca Sartori (58.49) were faster this year than the athlete from SSV Bruneck.

Petra Nardelli shone over 400 m. The 21-year-old from the South Tyrol Team Club won in a good 56.72 seconds ahead of Maria Schwingshackl. Carmen Vikoler from SG Eisacktal won the 800 m run in 2.19 minutes, and Lisa Mayr came third in the 200 m in 26.55.

In the men's 100 m run, Jim Folajin Fonseca from Brixen came second in 11.06 seconds. Ebrima Bojang, who competes for Athletic Club 96 Bozen, also took second place in the 400 m (50.31). His teammates Thomas Iellici and Gabriele Prandi won the 400 m hurdles in the U18 and general classes, respectively.

In the hammer throw, Lara Cubich took second place in the U18 category with 40,08 m, while Martina Gazzotti (2) won the U37.27 javelin throw. In the general class, Serena Bergia from Nonstal (18), who competes for SSV Brixen, won ahead of Sophie Mayr (43.00) and her sister Chiara Bergia (37.39). In the long jump, Alessandro Di Foggia (37.05m) won ahead of Marcel Lahner (6,39) and Patrick Montin (6,35).

The evening meeting “Hunting for the Norm”, organized by the Bolzano club Athletic Cub 96, took place in Haslach on Wednesday evening. Among the almost 170 participants, some South Tyrolean athletes also shone with top times.
