The 15th Soltn Half Marathon is just around the corner

The Soltn half marathon is the only half marathon in South Tyrol that is completely away from traffic. The popular race represents pure running enjoyment and offers a varied route. This year too, some exceptional athletes have announced their chance to enjoy the picturesque backdrop of the race. Among others, Said Boudalla, who won the Marcialonga Running in 2015, will be at the start. The half marathon starts on Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Jenesien sports field. The athletes then head to the Salten. The course leads back to Jenesien via the larch meadows, Langfenn and the Gschnof stables. The classic half marathon is 21,1 km long and covers a total of 520 meters in altitude. In order to offer even more runners the opportunity to enjoy a panoramic run over the Salten, the organizers have chosen a new route this year for the “just for fun run”, which has been running since last year. The new circuit covers 8,5 kilometers and an altitude difference of around 50 meters. In the “just for fun run” the time of none of the participants is counted. On top of that, there is the usual competition for two-man relays.

The 15th Soltn Half Marathon is just around the corner

On Sunday the Soltn half marathon will take place in Jenesien for the 15th time. The event on the Salten organized by ASV Jenesien Soltnflitzer is the sixth race in the Top7 racing series.
