The company run casts its shadow ahead

Two friends, one goal. This year, the 18th edition of the South Tyrolean company run is taking place under this motto. The fact that the event in Unterland's main town enjoys unbroken popularity is reflected in the numbers: the sound barrier of 1.000 participants has long been exceeded.

In the “registration ranking”, the local Würth AG is clearly in the lead with no fewer than 90 runners, followed by the Meran thermal baths (72 starters) and the Stahlbau Pichler company from Bozen (64). However, it is quite possible that this list will become significantly longer by the registration deadline. The OK team led by President Alfred Monsorno has a maximum of 2.000 participant places available.

The hobby runners can choose between two routes of 3 and 5 kilometers in the company cup. This year, the start and finish area will be set up in the commercial area near the Würth company for the first time.

Running for a good cause This year, donations will once again be made to a charitable cause at the running spectacle in Neumarkt: For each participant, the organizers will donate 1 euro to the South Tyrol Rheumatism League and 50 cents to the youth department of the Neumarkt Bike Club. Just two days after the company run, on September 16th, the “run for life” will take place in the town center - a solidarity run, the net proceeds of which will benefit the South Tyrolean Cancer Aid and the Lions Club's children's palliative care project.
