German double victory on the Seiser Alm

Sebastian Hallmann, born in 1977 and multiple German cross-country champion, dominated the men's race and won in a strong 1.19:16'5.10" hours. "I started on the Seiser Alm for the first time this year and came a few days earlier to do the route "It's really technically very demanding, but wonderful to run," Hallmann said happily at the finish. Behind the German, Simone Peyracchia from Piedmont and Michail Mamleev from the sports team climbed onto the podium. Peyracchia was a little more than three minutes behind on the winner, Mammleev XNUMX minutes. The defending champion Gianmarco Bazzoni from Bolzano came fifth behind Christian Stuffer from Val Gardena.

The women's winner was Monique Siegel, who won the Moonlight Classic in the winter. Siegel (1.32'45" hours) distanced the Vinschger series winner Petra Pircher by 1.53 minutes (1.34'39"), third was Manuela Marcolini from Modena (1.36'22").

The Seiser Alm half marathon was also part of the Ski & Run combination with the Moonlight Classic cross-country skiing race, which took place on February 10th. The overall half marathon-30 km cross-country skiing went to Thomas Vikoler (total time 4.02'02") and Monique Siegel (3.12'11"), while the Austrian Sebastian Nussbaumer (3.09'20") took the combined half marathon-15 km cross-country skiing.
