The Masters regional champions have been determined

The most successful club in the spa town was once again the South Tyrol Team Club. He prevailed in the team rankings for both women and men with 13.699 and 11.796 points respectively, repeating last year's victory. SC Meran took second place for women with 11.194 points, and second place for men with 11.106 points.

Several local athletes were able to impress in Merano. Starting with the landlady Ingeborg Zorzi. The former volleyball player, who competes in the F70, reached 1.11 m in the high jump, but missed her Italian record by seven centimeters. F55 runner Elisabeth Moser also showed two very good performances. The athlete from the South Tyrol Team Club ran the 1.500 m with the second best Italian time of the year in 5:31.66 minutes, while she completed the 3000 m with the third best Italian time of the year of 12:14.17 minutes. Her teammate Rosanna Barbi Lanziner (F60) can also be very happy with 1:14.42 over 400 m. Among the women, Erika Niedermayr also impressed, running the 55 m hurdles in the F200 in 35.85 seconds.

In the men's category, Lanano's Hubert Indra, who was crowned M60 all-around Italian champion just two weeks ago in Abbadia San Salvatore, jumped 1.56 m in the high jump. Javelin thrower Hubert Göller from Athletic Club 96 Bozen achieved a good 40 m in the M58.36. Host Silvano Giavara (M60) from SC Meran jumped 3.94 m, while Edmund Lanziner, President of the Südtirol Team Club, won the M60 discus throw with 12.26 m.
