The all-rounders shine in Lana

The 19-year-old Burgstaller David Pircher scored an impressive 20 points in the U6.036 decathlon, improving his previous best (5.696) by more than 300 points. In the end it was enough for the SV Lana flagship to take third place behind Alberto Nonnino (3) from Udine and Federico Bovo (6.757). Pircher improved in all four running events as well as the long jump.

Pircher's older sister Linda and Gargazonian Simon Zandarco forewent the regional championship because they both received an invitation to the Multistars meeting at the weekend in Grosseto. Pircher only took part in the first three competitions in Lana, but set two new records there (100m hurdles in 15.19 seconds, 12.37 m in the shot put). She also cleared 1.62 m in the high jump.

At the top of the podium, however, was Alessia Goffi. The 16-year-old from Val Gardena showed a decent performance in Lana after an injury break of almost a year and won the U18 heptathlon with 4.645 points. Walter Kostner's athlete particularly shone in the javelin throw (45.01 m). Sarah Fischlerler's U18 national record is 45.77 m.

Daniele Tomasi took a good second place in the boys' U18 decathlon. The man from Bolzano scored 5.596 points, with Nicola Testa from Vicenza taking the win (5.988). In the men's decathlon, Jan Fragiacomo (CSS Leonardo da Vinci) placed 5.596th with 5 points.

There were also strong supporting competitions in Lana. The Vahrner sprint ace Marie Burger was particularly in the spotlight. The 18-year-old junior from SSV Brixen won the 100 m run in 12.28 seconds and over the 200 m she stopped the time measurement in 25.19 seconds. The Lanan long jumpers were also happy with their performance: Manuel Antonucci broke the 6-meter mark for the first time (6.01), U16 athlete Ronja Hilber (5.22 m) recorded her first 5-meter jump. The all-around regional championships of the Northeast group took place in Lana. The local athletes also recorded great results.
