The young athletes compete in Spilimbergo and Caorle

The Italian U18 championship title will be awarded in Orvieto (Terni province), where twelve men's and women's teams will duel in the A final. The B final, meanwhile, has been divided into four geographical zones, which will take place at different locations. The north-east circuit, in which teams from South Tyrol as well as those from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Trentino compete, is held in Spilimbergo. For men, Athletic Club 96 Bozen represents Italy's northernmost province, while for women SG Eisacktal represents.

The juniors compete in Caorle

Not far from Spilimbergo, namely in Caorle, the fifth edition of the “Trofeo Città di Caorle” is on the program this weekend. This year it will no longer be held as a championship for individual regions, but as a competition for territorial areas.

A total of four teams will compete against each other, representing the following Italian districts: North-East, Central-North, Center and South. Each selection is allowed to field two athletes per competition. Five South Tyrolean names particularly stand out in the list of participants, namely those of Julia Viktoria Calliar (100m and 4x100m relay) and Petra Nardelli (400m and 4x400m relay) from the Bozen Running Club, high jumper Franziska Kofler from ASV Lana, long jumper Lisa Seppi from the SG Eisacktal and Alessandro Monte (100m and 4x100m relay) from Athletic Club 96. They are all competing for the Nord-Ost team.

On Saturday the competitions in Caorle start at 15.45 p.m., the next day it starts at 9.15 a.m.
