The young athletes still face the strong wind

In the U16 age group, 15-year-old Marie Burger from Vahrn, who competes for SSV Brixen, won the 80 m hurdles in a good 12,27 seconds and set a new personal best. Burger also won the 3x1000m relay with her teammates Lisa Oberrauch and Valentina Ortler. Miriam Cordioli from SAF Bozen also celebrated a double victory in this category, winning the 300 m and the long jump. Greta Chizzali was also convincing. The 14-year-old from SG Eisacktal - she will be 15 on Easter Monday - won the 2000 m in 6.53,42:XNUMX minutes.

In the U14 age group, Emy Pupp from Brixen won the 60 m hurdles in 10,23 seconds ahead of Marie Laner from Merano (10,42) and Sara Franchi from the South Tyrol Team Club (10,59). Pupp was also unbeatable in the high jump with 1,34 m.

Among the boys of the same age, Christoph Öttel from Psair made it to the podium in all four competitions. Öttl won the high jump, came second in the 60 m hurdles and shot put and third in the relay. The performances of the U16 boys were rather modest. The Merano shot putter Jakob Menz achieved the best result with 12,12 m.

In Bolzano, the organizer Südtirol Team Club has also included some general class running competitions in the program. Diana Caravaggi Esposito from SG Eisacktal celebrated winning both the 100 m (13,12 seconds) and the 200 m (27,40), but the most pleasing news is Michael Albrecht's comeback after more than two years of injury. The 20-year-old from Naturns from SC Meran was only beaten by Ebrima Bojang from Athletic Club 200 Bozen over 96 m. Bojang started in the first run and clocked 0,5 seconds with a tailwind of 23,19 m, while Albrecht had a headwind of 5,1 m in the second run and was only four hundredths slower.

The 3rd stage of the Ladurner Grand Prix will take place on June 15th in St. Christina in Val Gardena.

Strong winds caused problems for the athletes on Saturday afternoon in Haslach/Bozen during the 2nd stage of the Ladurner Grand Prix for the U14 and U16 age groups. Nevertheless, there were some good performances, particularly in the two girls' hurdles races.
