The sprinters shine in Reischach

Only two track events will be held in South Tyrol this summer: the sprint meeting on July 16th in Meran and the Kronplatz meeting in Reischach. Races over 100, 200, 400 and 800 m were held in the Pustertal, as well as the high jump and long jump as well as the discus throw. People were excited about Petra Nardelli's appearance. The 26-year-old from Eggen won the 200 m in 24.63 seconds, while in the 100 m sprint she had to admit defeat to Marie Burger. The 18-year-old from Vahrn from SSV Brixen won in 12.23 seconds, three hundredths of a second ahead of Nardelli. In the boys' category, however, Lorenzo Ianes from Athletic Club 96 Bozen celebrated a double victory over 100 and 200 m. The sprinter from Trentino was able to hold his own in both races ahead of local hero and young hopeful Jonas Steinwandter. The Burgstall all-rounder Linda Maria Pircher set her personal best in the high jump with 1.65 m, while Sofia Rieder from Bruneck won the 800 m run. Hannah Filehner and Diana Caravaggi Esposito, both from SG Eisacktal, were at the top in the 400 m hurdles and long jump. Alberto Masera from Bolzano crossed 1.97 m in the high jump, Riccardo Vantini (CSS Leonardo da Vinci) timed the 400 m hurdles in 56.04 seconds.
