The U18 track and field athletes are already in top form

The girls from SG Eisacktal and the Bozen Running Club in particular were able to showcase themselves in optimal competition conditions. Meanwhile, the Athletic Club 96 Bozen made the boys sit up and take notice. These three clubs could also represent South Tyrol at the national final in September. This would be the first time that three local teams would take part in the Italy-wide playoffs. Before that, however, it is important to confirm the performances shown at the second meeting in late summer in Trentino.

In Haslach, the 4x100 meter relay team from LC Bozen in particular caused a stir. She won in an extremely strong 48,67 seconds, ahead of SG Eisacktal (53,10). At the Eisacktalerin, the twins Isabel and Carmen Vikoler came into the spotlight with a total of three daily victories. Valeria Mura from LC Bozen also climbed to the top podium twice.

Among the boys, Mario Bruniolo from SG Eisaccktal stood out alongside the starters from Athletic Club 96. He ran the 100 meters and 200 meters in an impressive 11,03 seconds (+1,0 wind) and 22,72 seconds (-0,4 wind), respectively.

On the first weekend in May, the opening event of the regional club title fights took place in the Haslach sports zone in Bolzano. The local athletes in the U18 category immediately made a big statement.
