A South Tyrolean athletics legend: Hermann Achmüller

A South Tyrolean with Boston experience

One of the highlights of the marathon season this year is the oldest city run in the world, the one in Boston. The South Tyrolean Hermann Achmüller, who also took part in the 2013 assassination marathon in Boston, comments with our Eurosport columnist Sigi Heinrich on this year's edition with the big star of the scene, the two-time Olympic champion and world record holder Eliud Kipchoge from Kenya.

One person who knows what it all feels like is the South Tyrolean Hermann Achmüller, who, as one of the highlights of his career (best time 2:18,56), completed all six major marathons in 2017 (Tokyo, London, New York, Berlin, Boston and Chicago) ran in one year, which in itself is an unimaginable achievement. Achmüller now regularly comments on some marathon races with me.
