A South Tyrolean team has its sights set on the Italian championship title

This year, the Talferstadt team eagerly collected points again and entered the final with a record score of 17.519 points, ahead of Atletica Studentesca Rieti (17.084) and Atletica Biotekna (16.886). The Athletic Club 96 has been taking part in the national finals continuously since 2005. Some South Tyroleans are also competing in Brescia: Nicolò Fusaro from Bolzano is one of the favorites in the pole vault, while Hubert Göller is competing in the javelin throw. Alessandro Monte and Leonardo Badolato are part of the 400x4 m relay. Each individual team is allowed to field 20 athletes in at least 18 different disciplines (no more than two athletes per competition and only one relay). On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September the “Finale Oro” of the Italian team championship will take place in Brescia, where the best 13 teams from Italy will meet. As in the last eight years, the Bolzano club Athletic Club 96 will also be there.
