A South Tyrolean medal at the U18 Italian Championship

Yesterday, Saturday, on the second day of the competition, Goffi won the only South Tyrolean medal. The flagship of Atletica Gherdeina is having a bomb season, just three weeks ago she won the javelin throw at the international Brixia meeting with 44.23 m. In Milan she didn't throw quite as far, but was still able to celebrate the Italian runner-up title with 44.04 m. Goffi was only beaten by Vittoria Rapetti from Alessandria, who managed 44.27 m. Anna Raimondi completed the podium with 43.10 m. For Goffi it is the second medal at an Italian championship, after she took third place in the U18 pentathlon at the Italian All-Around Indoor Championships in Padua last year. With Lorena Lingg and Mattia Bucciarelli, two other South Tyrolean athletes made it into the top ten. In just her second heptathlon, Lingg from Vinschger took 4.272th place with 9 points (new record), the same as pole vaulter Bucciarelli. The man from Bolzano crossed 3.90 m. Agata D'Angelo from SG Eisacktal narrowly missed out on a top 10 placement, having to settle for 400th place over 57.99 m in 11 seconds. A South Tyrolean medal at the U18 Italian Championship

The U18 Italian Championships for track and field athletes took place in Milan at the weekend. The Val Gardena javelin thrower Alessia Goffi was named vice Italian champion.
