EYOF: Michael Albrecht fails in the preliminary round

At the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Tbilisi on Wednesday, 400 m runner Michael Albrecht missed out on making it to the final. The 16-year-old from Naturns, who competes for the Merano sports club, only came 50.09th in the third heat with 5 seconds and had to settle for 12th place in the overall ranking. To make it to the final, Albrecht would have had to finish in the top 8.
