Frick and Thaler are unbeatable when it comes to mountain running in Schenna

A total of 86 runners took up the challenge in poor running conditions. Gred Frick from Bolzano, who lives in Merano, was the fastest to overcome the 5,6 kilometer long climb with an altitude difference of 666 meters. The mountain running specialist, who was taking part in the race for the first time, crossed the finish line after 32.20 minutes. Second place went to Daniele Barchetti from Trentino, who stopped the time measurement at 32.45 minutes. Stefano Anesi, also from Trento, completed the podium in 32.53 minutes.

For the women, Edeltraud Thaler was included in the winners' list for the fourth time. The experienced runner from Lana, who was at the top of the podium in 2013, 2015 and 2016, crossed the finish line in 40.39 minutes. Behind Thaler, Anna Pircher from Morter took second place, 24 seconds behind. 18-year-old Sara Frick from Meran came third in 41.31 minutes.

Frick and Thaler are unbeatable when it comes to mountain running in Schenna

The seventh edition of the mountain run from Schenna to the Taser took place on Sunday. The men's victory went to 45-year-old Gerd Frick from Meran, while Edeltraud Thaler from Lana won the women's race.
