Gerd Frick vice regional champion in cross country running

At the 34th Cross della Vallagarina in Villa Lagarina (TN), runners from Africa once again dominated. Thomas Longoshiwa (Kenya) and Fente Alemu Birtukan (Ethiopia) are the winners. Gerd Frick came 18th as the best South Tyrolean. The run was also considered a regional championship. Frick finished second, 12 seconds behind Giuliano Battocletti.
