Gold and European Championship record for Pierluigi Putzu

South Tyrol's Masters athletes won ten medals at the European Indoor Championships in San Sebastian (Spain). On his Masters debut, Pierluigi Putzu from Bolzano immediately won gold (M35) in the long jump with the European record of 7.03 m. Like two years ago, Waltraud Egger won four medals, this time all four in silver.
