Hannes Kirchler was called up for the European Team Championships

The European Athletics Team Championships are a national competition that has been held since 2009 as a successor event to the European Athletics Cup. The first edition of the Superliga took place in Leiria, Portugal, in 2009. While women and men held their competitions separately in the European Cup, there is only one classification with a single winner in the European Team Championship. The 12 best teams in Europe compete against each other. The last three are relegated to the First League.
