IAAF Multistars: A Norwegian and a Spanish woman win in Lana

Yesterday Vicente was in fourth place after four disciplines, today the 4-year-old Spaniard won with 20 points. Vicente improved her personal best by an impressive 6.304 points. She also set a new Spanish national record. As was the case two years ago, second place went to Kate O'Connor, an Irish woman of the same age. In the end, she was only eight points short of victory. Marthe Koala from Burkina Faso completed the podium with 83 points. The British Holly Mills (2), leader until the penultimate discipline, had to settle for fourth place. Austrian Sarah Lagger came fifth (6.238). Sveva Gerevini was the best Italian in 6.180th place with 4 points.

Linda Maria Pircher from Burgstall, South Tyrol's only participant, scored 4.827 points. It was an excellent weekend for the athlete from SV Lana, where she was able to improve her best performance in the heptathlon by an impressive 179 points. Today she achieved another best time in the 800 m in 2:29.91 minutes.

In the men's race, victory went to Norwegian Martin Roe. The 29-year-old superstar, winner of the 2018 Multistars and leader after the first day, prevailed in the decathlon with 8.055 points. However, he clearly missed his record of 8.228. Adam Sebastian Helcelet came second. The Czech was the only one who could keep up with Roe, but in the end he had 30 points less than the Norwegian. Third place went to Sweden's Fredrik Samuelsson with 3 points. The Italian Dario Dester, who was third at halftime yesterday, narrowly missed the podium with 7.815 points (new record) and came fourth. IAAF Multistars: A Norwegian and a Spanish woman win in Lana

The international Multistars all-around meeting in Lana came to an end on Sunday evening with the men's 1500 m run. The men's decathlon went to the Norwegian Martin Roe with 8.055 points, while in the women's heptathlon the Spanish Maria Vicente was able to hold her own with a strong 6.304 points.
