Junior World Championships: Valentina Cavalleri in the semi-finals!

The Puster hurdle specialist Valentina Cavalleri put herself in the spotlight at the Junior World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, with an absolute brilliant performance. The daughter of two-time Olympian Irmgard Trojer (1988 and 1992) was surprisingly able to qualify for the semi-finals of the 400m hurdles in an excellent 59.82 seconds. The 18-year-old from San Candido not only achieved 16th overall time, but also improved her personal best by over half a second. She also broke the 60-second barrier for the first time in her career.
