Karnutsch and Pircher win the 6th Andreas Hofer fun run

Just four days after their victory at the VSS run on Haidersee, the two local athletes were also the measure of all things at the Andreas Hofer run in Passeiertal. Karnutsch completed the 13,1 km long route in 45.32 minutes and thus secured the day's victory among the men. Alexander Köhl from ASV Deutschnofen (49.05) and Manuel Koch from Rennerclub Vinschgau (49.06) completed the podium.

For the women, Pircher was in a class of her own with a winning time of 54.02 minutes. The athlete from Lasas triumphed in the Andreas Hofer Run for the third time. Pircher beat Ulrike Raich from Telmekom Team Südtirol (57.37) and Irene Senfter from ASC Südtirol Team Club (58.46).

On the short route (4,3 kilometers) Manuela Reichegger from ASV Jenesien was successful in 20.28 minutes and Ulrich Gross from Telmekom Team Südtirol in 15.50. In the amateur runners' race, Martina Alber (59.16) and Michael Eder (50.48) were the fastest on the long distance as well as Luiza Kuppelwieser (20.14) and Henrik Schwalt (20.25).

Karnutsch and Pircher win the 6th Andreas Hofer fun run

After a year's break due to the German national soccer team's training camp last year, the Andreas Hofer Run in Passeier began its sixth edition on Saturday. The day's victories went to Gabriel Karnutsch from SV Mölten and Petra Pircher from Rennerclub Vinschgau.
