No surprises at the Bolzano Vivicittà run

The Vivicittà run has been organized by the Unione Italiana Sport Per Tutti (UISP) for 39 years and took place again this year in 60 cities in Italy and around the world. A total of 166 participants took part in Bolzano. This year the runners did not have to run 12 km as in previous years, but rather 10 km for the first time.

In the men's competition, Gianmarco Bazzoni from Bolzano was unbeatable. The 29-year-old clearly won in 32.06 minutes ahead of Emanuele Franceschini from Rovereto (32.26) and Francesco Milella (34.07). Fourth place went to Martin Mayrhofer from Eisacktal (4), ahead of Bazzoni's teammate Alessio Passera (34.48).

The women's race was dominated by Loretta Bettin from Trento. She won in 37.52 minutes and was exactly two minutes ahead of Simonetta Menestrina at the finish. As the best South Tyrolean, Edeltraud Thaler from Lana took third place in 40.14 minutes. Fourth place went to Natalie Andersag from Kardaun (40.21).

No surprises at the Bolzano Vivicittà run

The Bolzano Vivicittà run on Sunday went to Gianmarco Bazzoni from Athletic Club 96 and Loretta Bettin from Trento. Both also won the South Tyrolean “Top 7” racing series last year.
