Kerschbaumer qualifies for the World Mountain Running Championships

The 18-year-old Kerschbaumer from Tramin, who competes for the Merano sports club, took part in the 6,5 km long junior race. On the very rocky but beautiful terrain on the Adriatic Sea, the Unterlander showed her usual solid performance. Kerschbaumer stopped the time measurement at 36.10 minutes, which in the end was enough for second place behind Aurora Bado (2). Kerschbaumer thus also bought his ticket for the Mountain Running World Championships from February 34.53th to 10th, 13 in Thailand. With Martina Falchetti and Samuel Demetz from Val Gardena, who have qualified since the Italian Championships, three SCM athletes will be making the trip to Chiang Mai, which is something to be proud of. On Sunday the mountain running world cup “WMRA Mountain Running World Cup” took place in Gagliano del Capo near Lecce. Two South Tyrolean mountain running specialists, Lisa Kerschbaumer and Daniel Pattis, were also there.
