Ladurner Grand Prix in Lana with record participation

Fresh temperatures and strong gusts of wind made life difficult for the athletes. Among the U16 girls, the Bruneck girls in particular were particularly impressive. The 15-year-old Alexa Schneider from Puster won the 80 m with a new best time of 10.60 seconds and was also at the top of the 1000 m. Her teammates Julia Moser and Hannah Thaler were also at the top of the 300 m hurdles and long jump, and SSV Bruneck also won the 4x100 m relay. Nora Dametto (ball + spear) from the South Tyrol Team Club also celebrated a double success. Local hero Manuel Antonucci won the long jump for the U16 boys with a good 5.60 m, and the SV Lana figurehead also won the shot put with 10.06 m. Antonucci completed his hat trick with the 4x100m relay. In the U14 age group, the girls from Merano particularly stood out. Eva Schrott won the 600 m in 1:51.25 minutes, 60 m hurdler Jana Turk stopped the time measurement in 10.14 seconds. Schrott and Turk also won the relay competition with Magdalena Pircher and Klara Alber. Sarah Peroni from SAB was also at the top twice (60 m + high jump). Peroni's teammates dominated the boys category. Seven of the eight titles awarded went to the Bolzano club. Andrea Bassani, Stefano Rossi and Manuel Lorenzon all celebrated triple victories. Only 600 m runner Benjamin Untermarzoner (ASV Deutschnofen) was able to counter the SAB's dominance. Ladurner Grand Prix in Lana with record participation

The new athletics season started in Lana on Saturday with the first stage of the Ladurner Grand Prix for the U1 and U14 age groups. The organizers were pleased with the huge fields of participants; there were just under 16 athletes at the start in the two girls' sprint races.
