Ladurner Grand Prix started in Meran

Among the U16 girls, the runners particularly shone. The victory in the 80m hurdles went to Annika Oberrauch. The woman from Eppan won in an excellent 12.22 seconds, just ahead of Anas Veronesi Vedovelli (12.30) and her teammate Sarah Fiwickeler (12.64). Oberrauch also secured the long jump with 4.85m, while Filehner from Bolzano was able to hold her own in the javelin throw with a very good 35.33 m. Katja Pattis was in a class of her own over 2000 m. The 16-year-old from Tiers won in a strong 6:46.89 minutes and was 24 seconds ahead of Martina Falchetti at the finish. Kathrin Pircher from SC Meran came third.

Among the boys of the same age, the Bolzano club CSS Leonardo da Vinci dominated. In the 300 m run they celebrated a double victory with Hugo Rafael Fara and Elias Vonella, the latter also won the long jump with 5.56 m. The Talferstadt team also secured the men's 4x100 m relay. Lukas Engl from SSV Bruneck won the 2000 m run in 6:41.97 minutes, just ahead of Alexander Malfer (6:45.93) and Emilio Volani (7:08.09). Patrick Laimer won the day in the 100m hurdles in 15.08.

Marie Burger and Jakob Menz dominate the U14s

In the U14 age group, Marie Burger from SSV Brixen and Jakob Menz from SC Meran celebrated a triple or Double victory. In addition to the relay, Burger also won the 60m sprint and the long jump, while Menz was able to hold his own in the high jump and shot put.

The focus of interest in Meran was also on the older young talents who took part in the supporting competitions. Ebrima Bojang, a refugee from Ghana, celebrated a double victory in the men's 100 and 400 m races. In the 100 m women's sprint, however, Alessandra Realdon won in 12.71 seconds ahead of Maia Gamper (12.81) and Erika Gull (12.88). Thomas Schiffregger achieved an absolute top result. The 19-year-old from SSV Bruneck improved his personal best in the pole vault by an impressive 40cm and increased it to 4,30m.

Ladurner Grand Prix started in Meran

The South Tyrolean track season for track and field athletes began this weekend. The first meeting for the Youth Grand Prix Ladurner took place on Saturday in wonderful sunshine and pleasant temperatures in Meran.
