Lahner and Hanspeter win the 1st VSS village run 2015 - all results

The first stage of the VSS city and village running series took place in Laas on Saturday in pleasant temperatures but windy weather conditions. A total of 299 athletes took part.

The countless spectators saw an exciting race for the men. Right from the start, Gianmarco Bazzoni pushed the pace and after two laps was able to gain a narrow gap to Eduard Lahner, Thomas Hellrigl and Gabriel Karnutsch. But the group was reunited again in the third round. In the fourth and final lap, Eduard Lahner finally broke away with a strong start and won the race ahead of Hellrigl and Bazzoni.

In the women's race, the victory went to Kathrin Hanspeter from Sarnen. She crossed the finish line after 10.03,4:34,2 minutes, around XNUMX seconds faster than local hero Petra Pircher. Third place went to Johanna Von Dellemann.

In total, the VSS city and village running series includes ten races this year, one more than last year. It will continue on May 1st with the classic in Oberwielenbach.
