Running festival at Lake Reschen: 4000 athletes expected

The starting signal for the 19th Reschenseelauf with start and finish at the magical church tower is at 17 p.m. Around 500 volunteers working with OK boss Gerald Burger will ensure everything runs smoothly. A total of over 4000 participants are expected. Registrations are still possible on Friday and Saturday directly on site.

The weather forecast for the race couldn't be better. According to forecasts, runners can expect sunshine, a few clouds and mild temperatures. The probability of precipitation is therefore extremely low.

In recent years the run has developed into a real folk festival. A family trip is worth it. The starting signal for the main run takes place at 17 p.m. in Graun near the historic church tower. Then it goes around five kilometers towards St. Valentin auf der Haide. A special feature is the crossing of the 400 meter long dam wall with a unique panoramic view of Lake Haider and the Ortler massif. We continue along the cycle path towards Reschen with sometimes short but steep climbs. Then past the parking lot of the Schönebenstiegsanlagen, along the access road, to the idyllic “Schlössl” and there again along the bank, past the sailing marina and back to the starting point.

A total of 80 percent of the route is run on asphalt. 20 percent of the route consists of gravel paths. Even the little ones get their money's worth. The “Apple Run” takes place again for children. This starts at 13.30:17.20 p.m. The handbikers start before the main run, and the Nordic walkers start at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. In addition to a spectacular run, the runners can also look forward to a starter pack.
