Lukas Rifesser and Hannes Kirchler fifth at the Palio in Rovereto

The South Tyroleans Lukas Rifesser and Hannes Kirchler put themselves in the spotlight with a strong performance on Tuesday evening at the 51st edition of the international Palio Città della Quercia in Rovereto. Both took 5th place, the 29-year-old from Bruneck in the 800 m and the 36-year-old from Merano in the discus. Valentina Cavalleri, however, finished the 800 m in the U23 category in 6th place with a new personal best time of 2:12.73 minutes.
