All-around competition: Youth regional champions have been crowned

In the regional title fights, Alexander Demetz from Val Gardena and Lisa Seppi from Lanano particularly stood out. Despite zero points in the discus, Demetz achieved 5923 points and was thus crowned the new U23 regional champion in the decathlon. Meanwhile, Seppi collected 4611 points and came out ahead of Stefanie Messner (20 points) and Jasmin Marmsoler (4026) in the competition for the U3606 heptathlon title. The woman from Lanan was particularly impressive in the high jump, the 100 m hurdles and the 200 m.

Matteo Paternoster won the decathlon in the U20 age group, while Jim Folajin Fonseca from Brixen and Martina Gatscher from Lanan triumphed in the under 18s. Nicolò Fusaro from Bolzano and Sophie Mayr from Puster were victorious in the U16 category (pentathlon). Timothy Innerhofer won the under-14 race, while the girls' race fell victim to rain.

The first competition on the new 400 m track in Lana was a complete success. From May 30th to June 1st, the U23 and U20 Italian all-around championships will be held at the new facility.

All-around competition: Youth regional champions have been crowned

The local all-around athletes determined the regional champions in the youth categories on the new 400 m track in Lana at the weekend. Around 100 athletes took part. The new facility has successfully passed its test for the U23 and U20 all-around Italian championships taking place in May.
