Young track and field athletes shine at regional championships

Alessia Goffi particularly shone among the U16 girls. The woman from Val Gardena won the day in both the 300 m hurdles (47.36 seconds) and the long jump. In the long jump, Goffi also improved her personal best by seven centimeters and increased it to 5.42 m. In addition, the two middle-distance runners Laura Markart and Lisa Leuprecht were convincing in Arco. Markart from ASV Vipiteno won over 1000 m in a good 3:05.58 minutes, Leuprecht from SV Lana won over 2000 m in 6:58.72 minutes. Mattia Cruciotti from Bolzano celebrated a double victory among the boys of the same age. The athlete from the South Tyrol Team Club was at the top in both the 80 m and the high jump. Mattia Bucciarelli (SAB) won the pole vault with 3.80 m, then he also won the regional championship title with his teammate Ivan Girelli, Christian Valt and Gabriel Filip in the 4x100 m relay. Marco Pentore (ball) and the Pseir javelin thrower Simon Burgmann (42.23 m) also celebrated daily victories. In the U14 age group, Lena Schramm from SSV Bruneck showed a good performance in the 60 m hurdles (10.11 seconds), as did shot putter Sofia Zenoniani (10.62 m) from SV Lana. For the boys, Dylan Pellicini (high), Manuel Antonucci (wide) and Frederic Schöpf (ball) celebrated three regional championship titles. For the local athletes, the regional championships in Arco were the last opportunity to check their form. The regional championship for the U14 and U16 age groups took place on Saturday and Sunday in Arco (Trentino) under optimal conditions. Of the 47 titles awarded, 19 went to South Tyrolean athletes.
