Young athletes shine at the Ladurner GP in Reischach

Local hero Hannah Thaler particularly shone among the U16 girls. The athlete from SSV Bruneck cleared 1.61 m in the high jump, then won the long jump (5.32 m) and the javelin throw (34.45 m). Her teammate Alexa Schneider also celebrated two victories in the 80 m hurdles and in the 4x100 m relay. The shot putter Stephanie Schöpf from Lanan achieved 10.79 m, Hanna Pichler from the South Tyrol Team Club timed the 300 m in 41.87 seconds. Among the boys of the same age, Frederic Schöpf from SV Lana was in a class of his own in the shot put and javelin, while Hannes Kaserer from Vinschger was at the top in both the 300 m and 100 m hurdles. The athletes in the U14 age group also made people sit up and take notice at the beautiful facility in Reischach. Sophie Seehauser celebrated a triple victory among the girls: The flagship of ASV Vipiteno won the 60 m sprint (8.75), then the long jump (4.36 m) and the 4x100 m relay competition. The two Merano women Jana Turk and Eva Schrott were able to prevail 60 m hurdles or ball throwing. The athletes from the Bolzano club SAB dominated the boys' competition. They were at the top of the podium in six out of seven disciplines. Andrea Bassani secured four victories (60 m, 60 m hurdles, ball, relay), Stefano Rossi won three gold medals (long jump, ball, relay). Manuel Lorenzon won the high jump and relay, Leo Pedo from the South Tyrol Team Club won the 1000 m run in 3:21.51 minutes. In sun and rain, the fifth and penultimate stage of the Ladurner Grand Prix 2022 took place on Saturday in Reischach in the Pustertal after a two and a half month break.
