New suspicions of corruption overshadow the World Athletics Championships

Lamine Diack, his son and other suspects have been under investigation in France for years. The process is expected to begin in the near future. While Lamine Diack is under house arrest in France, his son is wanted on an international arrest warrant and is said to be in Senegal.

Diack's group is accused of having set up a corruption network within the IAAF. Among other things, they are said to have covered up positive doping samples in exchange for monetary payments, and they are also accused of buying votes for the awarding of major sporting events.
