Ninth Italian championship title for Hannes Kirchler

In February of this year, Hannes Kirchler won the Italian Winter Discus Throwing Championships in Lucca. Today the 35-year-old from Merano repeated his victory in the general class title fights in Rovereto. Kirchler clearly prevailed with a very good 62.73m from Giovanni Faloci (61.04) and Federico Apolloni (57.74). As at the Winter Italian Championships, the young Daniel Compagno from Bolzano came fourth with a new personal best of 54.04m.
