The 25-year-old, who was born in Ethiopia, has lived in Trento for 20 years and is the undisputed crowd favorite at BOclassic Südtirol. Crippa won the bronze medal in the 2018 meters at the European Championships in Berlin in 10.000 and led Italy to gold medals at the last two European team championships. Crippa holds the Italian records for the non-Olympic distance of 3000 meters, as well as for his parade distance of 10.000 meters, in which he made it to the final at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and finished eleventh. In Bolzano, Crippa narrowly missed the podium several times on New Year's Eve - this year, on the last day of the year, he should finally get the longed-for podium place. Battocletti should break the spell Nadia Battocletti, who was born in Cles 21 years ago, wants to cause a sensation among women. And if you look at her results last summer, the Trentino native could definitely put this plan into practice. Battocletti won gold with the Italian selection at the European Team Championships in Poland and landed in a sensational seventh place at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo over 5000 meters with the second-best Italian time (14.46,29:XNUMX minutes). Maybe Battocletti will be able to achieve a similar feat to Eyob Faniel two years ago - people in Bolzano have been waiting in vain for a victory for an Italian since December 31, 1988, when the legendary Maria Curatolo triumphed on Waltherplatz.
