Pircher 3rd at the all-around Italian championship

The SV Lana athlete, who attends the business school in Meran, is already in top form in this young season. Pircher improved her previous indoor record in the pentathlon of 3011 points, set a year ago in Padua, by another 451 points. In the junior ranking, it was enough to win bronze behind the new Italian champion Marta Giovannini (3.791 points) from Livorno and Sara Chiaratti (3.527) from Liguria. In the general ranking, Pircher also took a strong sixth place. Pircher set a new record in four disciplines (60 m, high and long jump and 800 m).

The 20-year-old Nicolò Fusaro from Bolzano from Athletic Club 96 also showed a good performance. The talented heptathlete came sixth with 4.855 points. Although Fusaro missed his personal best by 45 points, he set three new personal bests in the 60 m sprint, the shot put and the 60 m hurdles.

Maddalena Melle and David Pircher, both from SV Lana, also started in Padua. The athletes from Burgstall took part in the pentathlon in the U18 age category. Melle took 3.002th place with 7 points. She recorded her best results in the 60 m (10.12 seconds) and in the 800 m run (2:22.41). David Pircher, Linda's younger brother, came in 3.090th with 10 points.

Pircher 3rd at the all-around Italian championship

The 18-year-old Linda Maria Pircher from Burgstall took an excellent third place in the U20 pentathlon with 3.462 points at the all-round Italian indoor championships in Padua at the weekend.
