Polish world-class sprinter Szewinska dies at the age of 72

The former Polish world-class sprinter Irena Szewinska is dead. As her husband Janusz Szewinski announced, the three-time Olympic champion died late on Friday evening at the age of 72 in a Warsaw military hospital as a result of cancer.
